The MS Dixie II: A Majestic Floating Marvel
Nestled at the Zephyr Cove Marina in South Lake Tahoe, the MS Dixie II combines classic charm with modern amenities, promising an old world cruise experience like no other. This 500 seat paddle-wheeler style vessel is a sight to behold and will leave you feeling as if you’ve traveled back in time.
With numerous daily and evening cruise options, this is a great choice for any busy vacation schedule. For a relaxing daytime journey, opt for the Scenic Sightseeing Cruise. Over two hours, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the sparkling azure waters of Lake Tahoe. In fact, the daytime trip even sails to the famous Emerald Bay State Park, giving you picturesque views of Vikingsholm Castle and Fannette Island.
If you’re a fan of enchanting sunsets, the Sunset Dinner Cruise is tailor-made for you. Indulge in a delightful meal while the sun paints the sky with brilliant colors behind the mountains during this two and a half-hour cruise. The dining experience on the MS Dixie II is equally delightful, offering a selection of dishes made with fresh ingredients, complemented by a diverse wine list. Savor each bite as you sail across the waters, passing by iconic landmarks along Tahoe’s shoreline.
Onboard the MS Dixie II, you’ll find ample open spaces to enjoy the fresh mountain air and soak in the scenic vistas. Live music and dancing provide the perfect backdrop for creating memorable moments on your vacation.
Tahoe Gal Cruises: An Unforgettable Adventure
Located at the Tahoe City Marina, the Tahoe Gal offers a smaller and more intimate cruising experience. This 120 seat vessel is also the closest cruise to our resort and offers the ability to book private charters.
During the day, join the Scenic Brunch Cruise for an hour and a half of awe-inspiring views. Capture the beauty of Lake Tahoe as you cruise along its glistening shores taking in the panoramic sights of some of Tahoe’s most pristine real estate, including the home used in the filming of The Godfather II!
Similar to the MS Dixie, the Tahoe Gal also offers the option to book a scenic 3.5 hour lunch tour of Emerald Bay. This extra special cruise is not to be missed, and offers unforgettable views along Tahoe’s historic West Shore.
If you prefer the charm of twilight, the Sunset Cruise awaits you. Marvel at the stunning colors of the setting sun over the Sierra Nevada mountains during this magical voyage.
The Tahoe Gal deck is a cozy space to relax and enjoy the cruise. Engage in world-class cuisine, savor craft beers and fine wines from the fully stocked bar, or simply soak in the beauty of Lake Tahoe.
As you sail with Tahoe Gal, knowledgeable guides will share interesting insights into the lake’s history, geology, and ecology.
