For decades, owners and guests of Red Wolf Lodge at Olympic Valley have returned to enjoy a relaxing, slopeside experience in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in the country. Here are a few reviews from our guests.

Absolutely loved staying at the Red Wolf Lodge while in town for my niece's wedding! Would absolutely stay there again and recommend to anyone looking for a quaint, comfy, clean place to relax! It was beautiful!

I loved staying at the Red Wolf Lodge and would definitely stay there again. Comfy bed, great pillows, etc. My bathroom sink was running a little slow, so I had to take the plug out was the only problem, (and that wasn't much of a problem), that I experienced. And just noting it here for informational purposes. The front desk attendants were extremely helpful and friendly. The housekeepers were friendly upon seeing them in the hallways. I didn't have my room serviced while there, so can't speak that. And the cookies at the front desk were scrumptious! Would love to know where to get them!
Having a rocking chair next to the fireplace!

Great service and a fun family friendly happy hour and club house.

More happy hours that was so much fun. Family activities.
The nice staff!
The nice staff!

The power is out, it feels very insecure here, and the 24/7 Text line says they’re only open during business hours. This is very not ok.

I recently spent two nights on the 3rd floor. The staff entirely consists of wonderfully warm, down to earth, friendly people. You can tell that they enjoy their jobs, and get along well. The view was a mix of spectacular and partially blocked by some buildings, and some intensely bright lights on the backside of an ajoining property. It took away from some of the view, but I still enjoyed it far more than the views at most places. The location was incredible! We shared a parking lot with The Village and Aerial Tram. And we really did have a near perfect view, just block out the buildings with your hand. The in room fireplace was awesome, and the furniture and interior design of the room was truly beautiful and welcoming. The lodge really put a lot of care into the little details to ensure comfort and a sense of home. Additional details: Gas fireplace (on a timer that lightly ticks) Wall heater/AC/fan Large window that fully opens Sliding glass door to patio Bathroom heater (very loud) Bathroom fan (very loud) Ample Bathroom lighting Jacuzzi tub (very loud) Large shower head Nice toiletries Very large, fluffy towels (6 sets) Beautiful, stone bathroom floor Soft tap water (tastes amazing, and my skin and hair loved it) In room water heater Fully stocked kitchen with just about everything that I needed (bring your own tupperware/storage bags, and foil) Full sized fridge with ice maker Stove Oven Dishwasher Toaster Microwave Coffee maker Electric kettle Comfortable couch (with sofa bed, but I did not pull it out). Comfortable glider chair TV with many channels and dvd player Dining table Comfortable bed Ample storage throughout Beautiful room entry with stone floors, bench, and coat hooks. Dresser/entertainment center with storage Balcony with chairs and side table Beautiful furniture (absolutely stunning wood craftsmanship) Clubhouse with fireplace, indoor/outdoor games, large kitchen, couch, TV, gym, sauna, showers, restrooms, three outdoor hot tubs. dvd's, books, games to borrow for room Free bikes to borrow Very short walk to the main attractions of Olympic Valley A short bike ride to many beautiful views Con: The room was quite dusty. Clean, but very dusty (everywhere but the dining table and bed). The couch and couch pillows were so dusty that we had to put a blanket over it. Dust ontop of the fridge, in the corners of the bathroom, on the ceiling fan. It was a bit difficult to breath because of it, so I kept the window and slider open the majority of the time. There was a lot of seasonal construction happening nearby, so the dust was likely due to people leaving the windows open. Go figure.

While the setting is pleasant, the quality of the accommodations and the available amenities are not reflective of the cost, especially when compared to similar resorts. The rooms are certainly a strong point, but the overall experience is being held back by a few issues. We definitely need working and updated appliances in the units and the convenience of daily room service. On top of that, the village lacks convenient options for dining out and accessing groceries, which adds an unexpected layer of difficulty to our stay.

1) Facilities and Upgrades: Commit to the immediate repair and systematic upgrade of all kitchen appliances to modern, working standards. The quality of the physical amenities must reflect the expected value of the ownership investment.
2) Activities and Experiences: Restructure and refine all scheduled activities and events to a higher caliber of quality programming. Moving beyond basic offerings, these experiences must directly reflect the financial contribution of the membership and truly enhance the ownership experience.
I genuinely cherish my visits back to the Tahoe area. It's where I used to live, and the familiar beauty of the lake and mountains is something I always look forward to experiencing again.
